Important. Platform terms change. Before signing up, check the current rules, fees and payout availability for your country.

Candy AI (candy.ai) is a browser-based AI companion service: you create a virtual character, set its looks and personality, and chat with it, with images, video and voice messages on top. Premium costs about $13.99 a month (the first month is roughly $9.99, the yearly plan about $47.88 a year) and includes unlimited text messages and 100 tokens per month. Adult 18+ content is allowed for adults, and the site does not advertise a payout program for character creators.

Below you will find how plans and tokens work, what the service does, how it treats data, and what to use instead. For the broader category, see our guide to AI girlfriend chat apps.

What Candy AI is

Candy AI is an AI companion with a strong visual side. Instead of a catalog of ready-made role-play heroes, the emphasis is on building your own character: category (Girls, Anime, Guys), looks, personality and speaking style. The service says the chat learns from conversation and adapts to your tone and interests. It also offers Shorts, a character collection and private content. The operator is EverAI Limited (Malta). A short profile is in our directory: Candy.ai.

No installation is needed: it opens in a desktop or mobile browser, and you can add it to the home screen like an app.

What the subscription covers and what costs tokens

Premium is built on unlimited text messages and the ability to create characters. Anything heavier spends tokens:

  • image generation, including 18+ images;
  • video generation;
  • voice messages and calls;
  • requests for private content.

The plan includes 100 tokens per month, and extra packs can be bought if you run out. Real spend therefore depends on how often you request pictures and video: a text-only user is covered by the subscription, while heavy generation usually is not.

Candy AI pricing

The subscription page offers several billing periods. Prices are approximate and change with promotions:

PlanPrice per monthBilling
1 month$9.99 for the first month, then $13.99Renews monthly
3 monthsabout $8.99$26.97 per quarter
12 monthsabout $3.99$47.88 per year
Short periods-Every two weeks ($9.79) or weekly ($5.60)

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term and price, and you can cancel in settings. For long-term use the yearly plan is several times cheaper per month, but it is paid upfront. On your bank statement the charge appears as EverAI. Local taxes may be added depending on your country.

Content rules and age

Candy AI allows 18+ images and video for adult users, so the service is for adults only. To stay on the safe side:

  • do not create characters who look underage or resemble real people;
  • do not use photos of acquaintances, celebrities or other creators;
  • read the Trust & Safety page and the legal terms, which the site lists separately;
  • never post generated images elsewhere without an AI label.

The last point matters most for creators. Subscription platforms such as Fanvue require AI content to be disclosed, and OnlyFans terms say AI-generated content must be captioned with a signifier such as #ai or #AIGenerated. More in how to create an AI model for content and income.

Privacy and safety

The service states that it uses industry-standard protection, including TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit. Payments are encrypted, and the statement descriptor is neutral. That does not make conversations fully anonymous: they are processed on the provider's servers. Practical advice:

  • do not put your real name, address, documents or payment details in chats;
  • register with a separate email address;
  • read the privacy notice before paying and find out how to delete your account;
  • check which languages the chat supports: English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese are fully supported, while some languages, including Brazilian Portuguese, have the interface only.

Can you earn on Candy AI?

The site does not advertise a payout program for character creators. Treat Candy AI as a tool: it helps you shape an image, test a character's personality and collect references. Monetize the character on platforms that allow AI accounts and pay creators, such as Fanvue. Candy AI also runs its own affiliate program, but that is about bringing in users, not about working with a character.

How creators can use Candy AI

For creators the service is useful as a working tool at the idea stage rather than as an income source. In one evening you can test several concepts: how the character's voice sounds, which personality produces livelier dialogue, which look reads well in a thumbnail. The observations then go into your own character-building workflow. Mind the rights: read the service's terms on whether generated images can be used outside it, and do not move ready-made pictures to paid platforms unless the terms allow it.

Common mistakes

  • Paying for the yearly plan before checking language support and dialogue quality.
  • Assuming the subscription covers all images and video: in practice they cost tokens.
  • Posting generated pictures without an AI label.
  • Basing a character on a real person's likeness.
  • Sharing personal details in chat that the conversation does not need.

Pros and cons

ProsCons
Build your own character with custom looks and personalityReal costs exceed the subscription: images, video and voice use tokens
Unlimited text chat includedNo advertised payouts for creators
Images, video and voice in one serviceAuto-renewing subscription, manual cancellation
Yearly plan is much cheaper per monthChat does not cover every language

  • Fanvue. A subscription platform where AI accounts are allowed under its rules. See the Fanvue profile.
  • General image generators. If you need pictures and a stable look rather than chat, build your own generation workflow.

How to approach the purchase

  1. Start with the free signup and test the conversation in the language you need.
  2. Decide whether you want images and video. If not, you will not need tokens.
  3. Pick a long plan only after a few weeks of trial use.
  4. Right after paying, check how to turn off renewal.
  5. Watch token use and do not buy packs in advance.
