Boosty for Creators: How to Earn and Withdraw Money
Boosty is a Russian-founded membership and donation platform. Here is how to set up a page, what it charges, how payouts work and where the 18+ rules end.

Important. Platform terms change. Before signing up, check the current rules, fees and payout availability for your country.
Boosty is a membership and donation platform where creators sell tiered subscriptions, individual posts and one-off tips. The platform charges 11.7% (payment processing included) and pays out to bank cards. Adult content is allowed only when marked 18+ and within the Terms of Service. Here is how it works in practice, and whether it fits your audience.
What Boosty is and who it suits
Boosty launched in 2019 and grew quickly after 2022, when many Russian-speaking creators lost easy access to Western platforms. The interface is available in English, but posts, descriptions and tier names stay in the language the creator wrote them in, and there is no automatic translation.
It works best for creators who already have an audience on YouTube, Telegram or social media: podcasters, artists, streamers, teachers and bloggers. Boosty has no built-in recommendation feed, so new subscribers have to come from outside. If your audience is mostly Russian-speaking, it is a practical option; for a global English-language audience, Patreon or OnlyFans reach more people.
How creators earn on Boosty
- Tiered subscriptions. You set the number of tiers, their names and prices. Most creators use three to five levels, from a basic supporter tier to a premium tier with direct contact.
- Pay-per-post. A single post can be unlocked for a fixed price, which suits fans who do not want a monthly commitment.
- Tips and goals. Fans can send money without getting content in return; goals collect funds for a project or a number of paying subscribers.
- Paid direct messages. Messaging can be tied to a tier or charged per message.
- Promotions. Discounts, free trials and trial links help turn followers into paying subscribers.
Boosty does not publish official earnings statistics. An unofficial 2022 analysis by developer Alexander Bormintsev, based on data in the site code, found that about 10% of sampled creators earned from 10,000 RUB per month and seven earned over 500,000 RUB per month. The company reported an average monthly subscription payment of 129 RUB in 2022. Treat these as rough benchmarks: results depend almost entirely on the audience you bring.
Fees and payouts
According to Boosty's official FAQ (updated December 2025), the service fee is 11.7%, covering both the platform and payment systems. A separate withdrawal fee applies and depends on the payout method.
| Item | How it works |
|---|---|
| Platform fee | 11.7% of each payment, payment processing included |
| Withdrawal fee | Charged separately, depends on method and currency |
| Payout frequency | Daily, including weekends; Boosty does not hold funds like a wallet |
| Payout methods | Bank cards in RUB, USD or EUR; YooMoney only for Russian residents |
| Currency | Prices are set in rubles and balances are credited in rubles; foreign fans may see prices in dollars |
| Verification | KYC is mandatory for all creators, in three levels depending on income |
Check that your card works for payouts before you build a subscriber base, and read the current withdrawal terms in your dashboard. Disputed payments can freeze part of your balance for 75 to 90 days according to the FAQ, and the platform does not process refunds. Boosty is not a tax agent, so you are responsible for reporting income in your own country.
Adult content rules
Per Boosty's FAQ, 18+ content is allowed but must carry an 18+ label, and the detailed rules sit in Section 5 of the Terms of Service. The Terms also list content that must not be pornographic or sexually explicit. In other words, the 18+ label permits mature themes but does not remove the limits, and enforcement is at the platform's discretion. Read the current Terms before you publish, and keep anything explicit within the rules. If you need a more permissive environment, compare options in our platform ranking or the guide to OnlyFans alternatives.
If other people appear in your content, get their written consent before publishing.
